I knew when I started peeing every 45 seconds that something was amiss. Now I have a damn urinary tract infection. harrumpf

Today has been so busy. Running around to appointments and just doing stuff that make up a life. Tomorrow is clear of all obligations. That is good.

Today I picked up a DVD at the library that will supposedly teach me how to crochet. I found some crochet stuff in some of my mom's old stuff so I thought I would give it a try (again). I tried crocheting last year and could not figure out how to get past the first row. Incidentally, my mom never crocheted so it is a mystery what she was up to with the supplies. Likely hoping to learn.

Last night we went to my dad's for his 65th birthday. It was just a small party with his kids and partners and grandkids. Before we left I was having an awful panic attack and feeling generally unwell. (Hence, the UTI.) I did manage to go but didn't have as much fun as I normally would have. It doesn't help when you have to use the toilet 10 times an hour.

Tonight I have a counseling appointment. They are usually during the day but this was the only space available. All I really want to do is get into my pyjamas.

And that is it. That is my day.

  1. All right- the UTI is just too much. I hope you are on medication already. May tomorrow be a better day, sweetie.

  3. Damn. UTI? That's rough.
    Crocheting is like a magic trick. If you get good, you could solicit commissioned pieces. I'd buy a crocheted pickleope.

  6. Sorry that the UTI has added insult to injury as far as your mood goes. Hope that improves quickly. Meanwhile, look at some crochet videos on YouTube along with your DVD and see if you get more help there. Some of there show and tell videos are great learning tools put on by amateurs.

  7. I agree with everyone, YouTube is awesome for crochet tutorials, or TUTES as the kids call them. Lol!

    Sorry you have a UTI. Get some cranberry juice in ya!

    What set off the panic attack?!

  8. Ugh.. UTIs are miserable. I swear by two tablespoons of natural apple cider vinegar (with the mother) in a cup of warm water with enough honey to sweeten it, as often as you can through the day. I would start with about 6 cups for the first day, then settle into four. Keep it up for a few days with one or two after your symptoms disappear. And they will. Mine tend to waver back and forth for a couple of days and then just stop. Of course if you're on a course of antibiotics, you won't need this but it's a godsend if you'd rather go the natural route.

  9. The infection is a tough turn of events. It will go away eventually. But it's a rotten thing to happen. Would a hug help? {{{{{{{{{hug}}}}}}}}
