I am so tired but I will do a quick post. I finally got to see my doctor today. He was, as usual most encouraging and set me on course for the proper medication. I also got to see a therapist who made me feel, in one word, hopeful. Every night I am so tired and fall into bed into a deep sleep. During the day I just mostly sit and cross stitch. You know what is strange? I ordered that cross stitch a couple weeks ago. I had not done cross stitch in years. I am not even sure why I ordered it. Right now cross stitch is what is keeping me centered. Stitch by stitch, row by row. Concentrating on each little X. And as I said, it is actually called The Tree of Life. So today, I am so very tired but hopeful.

ReplyDeleteWonderful! Tiny steps. And you know, someday you will hold that finished cross stitch in your hand and you will know it is a totem of the strength of your spirit.
ReplyDeleteI promise you.
You'll come out the other side of this, Birdie, and life will be enjoyable again! Keep on cross-stitching!
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear that you are feeling better.

Good! Hang in there. Like you said, stitch by stitch. It will get better. And about hope. . .my friend and I were just talking today and she said that depression is the absence of hope--so you're getting there because you have some hope!
ReplyDeleteKeep the hope strong, Birdie; there certainly are better days ahead. Just move forward one day at a time!
ReplyDeleteSo glad to hear that you feel hopeful.
ReplyDeleteHopeful is fantastic. I love doing cross stitch - it's such a good meditative thing, to tune out all else.
ReplyDeleteGlad to hear that. Keep on hoping. xx
