Today I don't feel like jumping off the side of a cliff.  And I don't have the desire to break anything.  I rested in bed a good part of the day and read.  My throat is sore and I have lost my voice.  My family is rejoicing in that!  It makes me realize the value of silence because quite frankly I never shut up.  Which reminds me of a funny story.  A couple of years back I took a course at the university.  The first part of the 6-month long course was a communications and personality profiling course and we were given a piece of cardboard to write our name.  On my card I wrote my name and that my personality colour is blue.  (Blue's love to talk and I am no exception.)  Anyway, knowing my propensity to talk I wrote on the back of the card "Zip It!".  I wrote it as a reminder to shut the hell up.  A few days into the course we started talking about blue's and how they love to talk.  I decided to show the class my "zip it" sign and told them how I was dying and couldn't handle not talking for one more minute.  I let them know for every story I had told there were about 10 more that I decided to keep to myself.  I kept my "zip it" sign up for the rest of the term, long after everyone knew my name.  Incidentally, at the end of the course my instructor told me I was the bluest blue she had every met in all the years of teaching.  If you are interested in personality colours you can look them over here.  Which one are you?
Well, I am going to watch a re-run of Modern Family then go to bed.

  2. I am so glad you are feeling a little better today.
I fall into the blue spectrum myself it appears. My father said that I had a tongue that was hinged in the middle and wagged at both ends. Regrettably often true.

  3. That a great compliment. I would like to think that I'm a blue too.

  4. How wonderful that you are feeling better! I have many of the blue traits, although I'm not always a talker. I also have a few of the orange and green traits.

  5. Here's a bit of neat synchronicity: blue is the colour of the throat chakra which governs speech, communication and "speaking your own truth."

  6. I'm going to zip on over and see what color I am, but I doubt that I will be joining the blues. Never been too much of a talker, but I am glad you are, because I always enjoy hearing what you have to say. Feel better soon.

  7. How funny to think of you with that "zip it" sign and struggling not to talk! I love that you have 10 more stories for the one you tell. I feel that way too at times. Not all the time though as I am very quiet in some contexts. I like to think that maybe I would have been a blue if I had not repressed my true personality somehow. When I look at the groups of words I find it hard to define myself that rigidly. I always seem to be morphing. Maybe I will go back and have another look when I am feeling more centred. I always liked that sort of test but was never really sure of my choices. I think maybe that points to a lack of awareness of myself. Gosh I am wordy tonight!;) Get well soon my dear. xx

  9. Well, luckily you can be a blue as you wish when there is a keyboard near to hand! Yay!

I am also blue, with a hint of green.

Hope you are feeling better soon.

  10. I always have a hard time with these type of tests... I sort of fall into each bucket depending on the detail. Anyhow, that first page I thought "oh I easily fall under the Blue and Orange", then on the rating section I was a Gold and a close Blue. LOL Always interesting...

Hope you are taking care of yourself lady!
