Sometimes I think my life is "The Truman Show" and everyone is laughing at me and setting me up with things they know will piss me off. Like right now. I am updating my son's computer and it has been installing update 50 of 83 for over half an hour now. It is no wonder so many of us are depressed and don't want to get out of bed. It is enough that we have to deal with real shit but then First World Problems send us over the edge. You just wait. The day I go completely insane will be because of something minor like not being able to figure out the new channel line-up. Why do they have to keep mixing them up? A few months back my cable provider did this.
Channel 2 became channel 44
Channel 44 became channel 43
Channel 43 became channel 2
What the fuck, anyway? Then they made channel 44 (previously channel 2) channel 96. For the love of god!
On to better things...
We have booked the train and will travelling in October to Ontario and Quebec. We are also going to OKTOBERFEST! Eeeee! Drinking beer at Oktoberfest is on my Bucket List. After that we are going to Montreal and Quebec City. I am so pumped!
Do you know what? I still have a cold. That has been a month now. Do you remember when we were little and you had a cold? You took one day off of school. Maybe two if you were on your death bed. These days viruses kick us to the curb for weeks or even months. What is up with that? Maybe it is an issue of not getting rid of the first cold then getting another one. But it is August! I shouldn't complain because there is bigger shit to bitch about like my son's computer is still installing update 50 of 83!
I just decided, other than being green I wouldn't mind turning into the She Hulk. She is smokin' hot.

Honey I hear you

How about when we are out for a walk..[we just got home from one]...and when people approach from the opposite direction, they never move over on the side walk!!! what's up with that???...my boyfriend and I ALWAYS end up on the grass, 'cause we have manners and are decent people...or worse...when a DOG walker walks the dog right into you...

ReplyDeleteDid you know that you can still go back to the old blogger format long enough to fix something, Just click on the thing that looks like a gear in the upper right hand corner of your dashboard. You can fix your followers, etc. and then revert back to the new version of blogger.
ReplyDeleteI am glad you are going to be able to have a trip to Oktoberfest. Enjoy!
I still can't work on my other blog because Blogger won't restore my forgotten password.
ReplyDeleteIt's true, it's the little things that drive us nuts.
"It's only a machine...it's only a machine..." that is what I was chanting at work today when dealing with computer issues. Agh!!!
ReplyDeleteStill it didn't stop me from wanting to toss it out in front of a passing semi.
I've always wanted to travel by train but haven't yet. There are some great train trips in Alaska I see. Hmm, maybe someday...
Have you been to Quebec before? I went some years ago and loved it.
ReplyDeleteI am so pleased that you can tick something off your bucket list. Now tick off that cold... Grr. For the severity of the illness colds make a person feel miserable out of all proportion.
ReplyDeleteI'm dying to hear the deets on the train trip! When I moved out west as a kid, we took the train and it was the wildest week of my life. I will never forget seeing the Rockies for the first time!
ReplyDeleteEnjoy!
Catching up - and what do I see!
ReplyDeleteOktoberfest! I live in K-W - we've done the Concordia Club for many many years now - we get tickets from the club for doing their paving - just got the call the other day for more. It's a lot of fun when you are up for a good time. If you aren't in the mood - then it's very loud. So be ready to party hearty!
Oh my god this entire post made me laugh out loud forever.
ReplyDeleteI feel like we are the same person! Haha!
The problem with unfollowing blogs also annoyed me for the longest time. I finally found the solution, though. The way to get to it is through the Friend Connect widget which, in its black innards, still retains the ability to unfollow blogs.
ReplyDeleteHere's my full description of the process: http://www.villageidiotsavant.com/2012/11/managing-blogs-in-googles-discontinued.html
