A Post Not Worth Reading

Ah...what did I do today?  Slept until 1:00.  Ag!  Last night I went to bed at a decent hour but I woke up and could not get back to sleep. Finally fell back to sleep around 6:00 a.m.

We went to the nursery today and purchased 3 rhododendrons. A pink, yellow and red.  They will go in the front bed.  We also got two lavender plants.  Off to the bookstore and I bought, When Love is Not Enough- The Lois Wilson Story.  Lois Wilson was the co-founder of Al Anon, wife of Bill W., co-founder of A.A.  From there we went for a very late lunch then to Habitat for Humanity Re-Store.  There I spent $3.50 on a glass brick.  Don't ask me why.  I just liked it.

After all that I was so tired.  Are you tired of hearing about how tired I am? Oh reader, I am tired of feeling it and posting about it. It is getting old. Just when I wanted to put on my pyjamas/pajamas my daughter wanted a ride across town to a friends house.  Of course I took her.  As a bribe I asked to borrow her laptop because mine is still not back!  4 - 6  days.  What a load of crap.

OK, this is funny.  The TV is on and the cops pulled over who was riding around on his bike completely naked.  He is protesting global warming.  Fucking awesome, dude!  The cops were "just wanting to confirm that he cannot ride around downtown naked".  This was in Portland. He did have a sun visor on.  It was dark out. I have to ask what the point of the visor was.  Ah, life is very funny sometimes.

Watching the Ungrateful Bastard sleep is a lot more interesting than reading the above post. My life has come down to naps and walking around very slowly.  Every post I have written since my surgery has been bottom of the barrel boring.  I don't know what is wrong with me.  Feeling a little down and sad and lonely but for no reason. Is this peri-menopause?  Is is just post-surgery? I am going to bed now.

  1. I'm watching the Nooge sleep, and I find your post more entertaining than that...does that count for anything? ;)And I fear you're going to have to get all ornery on those people keeping your computer hostage.

  2. You slept because you needed to. And please, have a little more faith in your readers. If you are as boring as the excrement of the Ungrateful Bastard we will tell you. Ok?

  3. Post-surgery is my guess. I came home from the hospital and just cried and cried.

Your post made me laugh! So did the title, for that matter. And EC is right, we'll tell you if that day ever comes (which I'm sure it won't.)

So where was the guy protesting? Was he protesting warming by creating shrinkage? A bit of irony.

  4. Hello, hey Birdie. I have commented before about how boring you are not and about how I am the most boringest(new word) blogger in blogland. So just relax. Your posts are funny and entertaining. You are tired because you just had surgery. I want to meet the naked guy on the bike. In fact I want to be the naked woman on the bike. Now I'm fifty I might become a little bit dangerous and odder than I already am.

  7. Post-surgery. Been there. Have some friends over, have them wait on you, etc...company really helps. Are you allowed to start walking for exercise? If so, start...it'll help get you out of this funk. Take care.

  10. Honestly Barbara... it was interesting reading all the sentences and paragraphs that were crossed out... pretty interesting to read what went through your mind and then what you decided to delete and yet it was still there...I liked that...
Post surgery is a time when patients usually feel down... my grandmother of 94 years has just underwent hip replacement because she broke it a few days before and she also feels down... I think after surgery one feels that they are not un-vulnerable but vulnerable and fragile as well... I hope you feel better soon and have a good night's sleep.

  15. Honey, you are just too hard on yourself. You are trapped in your depression. Somewhere, deep inside yourself, there is a scared little girl dying to live a full and beautiful life. Find her, hold her, tell her how special she is and love her without condition. You deserve this and so much more.

We all love you sweetie. You just cannot see how special you are or the magic in the most mundane of life. But I promise there is a way out. Warmest hugs, Mina
