Bring on the Jack Russel!

As of today I have lost 10.4 pounds. Yay for that.  It is a strange thing though because yesterday was my weigh in day and I was up.  I weighed today and I am down 3 pounds from yesterday.  Stranger than that is yesterday I was really pissed off and didn't track at all and ate about 15 potato & cheese perogies with butter in defiance to being up.

In other news, the black dog is still here.  I am all over the place emotionally.  Anger and sadness. A lot of anger. So much anger that I can feel it buzzing inside of me.  It is coming out physically.  My neck and shoulders are in a lot of pain.  When I sleep I have nightmares.  What is going on? I have written it all before so I won't write anymore.  I am calling a counselor in the next day or two.  And I will come out of this and the black dog will go away.  Maybe a happy little Jack Russel terrier will show up instead.

Today my boy turns 17!  I said in his card that I am glad I only have one son because he would be my favourite and I would feel bad liking him more than the other son. Recently I mentioned that he has gone on medication for anxiety and I am relieved to say that he is feeling incrementally better.  He has another appointment in a month.

My tree.  We had another quote and this guy said there was nothing at all wrong with it except it really needs a good pruning. So, Brianna (the weeping Birch) will live!  The tree that I stared at in the months after my mom died.  The tree that houses birds and feeds them. My tree.

  3. Happy birthday to your boy.
I am thrilled that your tree is fine. Boo sucks to the other oxygen thief.
And, I am in awe at your weight loss. Wow.
I really, really hope that you can at least kennel the black dog soon. Such an overwhelming beast it can be...
    Hugs

  4. I say write it out again and again and again until you get it all out. That's what I do, if its boring to others oh well. I was re-reading old posts today and things that made me crazy, well, I can see who I was and where I was at that point and its okay.
    Life is a process.
Yay for the tree, the boy and the weight loss!
I've had the hiccups for an hour. AN HOUR!

  5. And after reading your previous post, just have to quote: "My husband was furious because the asshole made me cry. " Yeah he's a keeper. Just needs a little training ;-)

  6. Happy (slightly) belated birthday for your son. 17 is such a great age. I'm so happy to hear about your tree. This is why it's so important to get another opinion. And congratulations for your weight loss! That's terrific; take pride in it.

  7. I have no idea what perogies are - but cheese, potato and butter can't be all bad. Enjoy. Give yourself a break.

Please don't call your Jack Russell Jack, it lacks imagination. Try trading in your black dog for a black cat. Be lucky. :)

  8. I went straight to a connection between your weight lost and the size of a Jack Russell. You already lost one "Dog", I hope you ditch the other one soon:)

  9. Congrats on 10+ and your tree! See? That other jerk would have killed it.
And good for you for thinking about a counselor. A rough patch is best worked through, rather than waiting for it to evaporate.

  11. The dark dreary winter season is hard on most of us and even more difficult for those who suffer that nasty dog. Hopefully the oncoming spring will give you lighter days. Until then, you must realize just how crazy a Jack Russell Terrier is. You're welcome to borrow Benny for a few days to find out. ;) Happy Birthday to your boy.

  12. YAY for the 10.4 pounds! I've been on my new diet a week today and lost 2 lbs. However, I'm not on it to lose weight so that part of it is a nice bonus. Well, okay, I would like to lose some weight... like 10 or 50. As if.

Happy *belated* birthday to your son. Glad he's feeling better. It's a process, as we all know from assorted things going on. Best wishes for you finding the right counselor to help you through. It'll happen, hang in there!

Wonderful news about your special tree! If you're happy about, think how excited Brianna must be.
