Nada

I would give someone ten bucks to go and get me a coffee right now.  I want a donut too.  Tim Hortons is having Roll up the Rim to Win so there is really no reason why this is not a most excellent idea.

Now here is what pissed me off this week.  We have a beautiful weeping Birch tree in our front yard.  I love this tree but it is in a desperate need of pruning and topping.  It is near electrical wires so we have to get it done professionally so we called for three estimates    One guy we called came out and said that it was not worth saving and he would rip it out for $250.00.  I told him I really loved the tree (I have given the tree a name but didn't think sharing with him was a good idea) but if it there was no other option I guess that was what we would do. And then this happened.  I thanked him for coming and said we still had two other companies to come out to give us an estimate.  Before I could get my sentence out he turned his back on me and stormed off and said, Whatever.  This guy was seriously angry!  I was stunned.  I then said, Well I guess it won't be you. He said, Fine! and got in his truck and drove away.  WTF?  I was so mad I wrote an angry Google review.  Times used to be you could treat a customer like crap (or very well) and the customer has no way of voicing it. Now we do.  So, fuck you landscaper guy.  My husband was furious because the asshole made me cry.  How do people run successful business when they act like that?

OK, now I would give someone $100.00 for a massage.  My neck is still all sore and twisted from moving a patient last week. So far that is a coffee, a donut and a massage.

  2. What a jerk... That's one thing I like about modern technology - that you have a voice.

  3. An increasing number of businesses really don't seem to give a flying fit for what customers think. I don't understand how they stay in business. I hope you get a better quote from someone who cares about trees.

  4. My guess is they don't stay in business for long. WTF?

And sorry, you totally had me cracking up at "at the rim..."

  5. The landscaper guy needs a serious lesson in how to provide good customer service. Of course people will get more than one quote for a job! What planet does he live on?

I rrrrolled up the rim yesterday. No prize yet!

  6. My guess is that he was desperate for the money and couldn't contain his disappointment. Not an excuse, but give him a pass for being too close to the brink and you'll feel better yourself.

  7. What an oxygen thief. You have to wonder whether he gets much business by bullying clients (or potential clients) into having done what he wants rather than what they have asked for.
We had some trees trimmed last week - again because they were too close to electricity lines. They turned up when they said they would, and did a fine job. And were the cheapest quote we received as well. The result? We will use the company again - and recommend them as well.

  8. What a lousy way to treat a potential customer. Good for you to give a bad review. Hopefully, one of the other companies will give you a decent price to prune the tree you love.
The last part reminded me of a snarky poster I put up on FB awhile back. It said... 'I could use a foot massage, 4 donuts and an orgasm.' lol

  11. Well sweetie, if I were close, I would happily bring you a coffee, 2 donuts (1 for me) and massage your poor neck.

That landscaping guy was a true ass! WOW!!! At least you know not to call them back. Try to have a better week. Warmest hugs, Mina
