I am so far behind in reading your blog posts. When I went on my mini-holiday I brought my laptop along but when I had trouble connecting wirelessly I decided to not fix it and just enjoy my Internet-free holiday. There is no way I can read back for more than a week so I am just going to have to start now.
My big news is I joined TOPS last night. TOPS is a weight loss group similar to Weight Watchers in that they have support but I do not have to put out the almost $60.00 a month. Each week I will weigh in and then there is a 30 minute talk on living a healthy lifestyle. My goal is to lose 50 pounds by this time next year.
I have been busy, busy, busy today and now I am off again to take my daughter to an eye appointment.
I went off for Houston/Galveston and the only decent internet reception I got was when we stopped at McDonald's. Wasn't worth dragging the computer along really. You are going to have to keep us posted on your TOPS adventure. Congratulations!
ReplyDeleteI have been losing 6 pounds a month by "eating right for your blood type" or ER4YT as seen on my blog...All information can be found online if you know your blood type if not you can purchase a test kit through the link on my side bar...All you have to do to lose weight is not eat the foods called AVOIDS that your body/blood type doesn't tolerate..I took it one step further and ordered the vitamin and mineral pack for my blood type "B"..once I stopped eating the "AVOID" foods within 2 weeks I was pain free and it just keeps detoxing your body ..I wish I had taken a before photo of how bloated I was/looked an next week will be 3 month since starting and show you how I look now...It's AMAZING!! ER4YT, is also what saved my daughter life from 3 years living with Lyme Disease...If you have further questions email me..email found on my blog....

Sounds good! You know, I have a similar goal that I've been calling my 50 by 50 goal -- lose 50 pounds by August of 2013, when I turn 50 years old. Maybe we can support and encourage one another!
ReplyDeleteI went off the grid on my holiday last week too....did me good! I know lots of people who belong to TOPS and have for years....they love the friends they have made and the support they get
ReplyDeleteGood for you...
ReplyDeleteIt seems to me that most women encounter those extra lbs that they would LOVE to shed...
Last year i went on "lose it" a free website..to track calories and exercise...it was actually kinda fun to find the calories and see exactly what kind of CRAP I was shovelling down my throat!!!! I lost the weight I wanted to, and learned a lot about calories in and out...maybe have a look and see what you think...it is an excellent way to track what you are eating...the one big change I made was ...no fries at Swiss Chalet...just the white meat and a greek salad...saved 500 calories right there!!!
Keep us posted...you have missed a lot of my fabulous posts....get your fat ass over here!!!! LOL
Cheers!
Linda :o)
Congrats on both the mini vacay and the decision to join TOPS. Definitely keep us updated on how you like it. I have an extra 40 lbs (one for every year) that I'd like to get off myself...much more difficult to take off than the first 100 was! (She types as she finishes off her Hershey's cookies & cream candy bar) :-)
ReplyDeleteI WOULD LOVE TO LOSE FIFTY TOO MAYBE WE CAN HELP EACHOTHER OUT SERIOUSLY??? THINK ABOUT IT AND GO OVER TO MY BLOG AND GET YOUR AWARD I GAVE YOU AND THEN WE CAN CONFERENCE ON BEING SPONSORS FOR EACH OTHERS GOALS??
ReplyDeleteAn internet free holiday is a must every now and then - and I must admit sometimes has to be forced upon me. I am losing lbs to so will be checking in with you for encouragement. Love your salad days counter it made me smile.

I hope you had a great vacation. Good luck with the weight-loss program. I had no idea WW is so expensive.
ReplyDeleteOh honey, I am ALWAYS behind on reading my friend's blogs. ;-)
ReplyDeleteI wish you all the luck in the world on your weight loss goals. YOU GO GIRL!!! Hugs, Mina
Since tonight was the first I'd posted in a long time, you aren't so far behind on my stuff. ;)
ReplyDeleteI am trying to catch up too.
Fifty pounds in a year is a realistic goal, I think. But just take it slowly and go with how you feel each week.
