At TOPS I lost 1 pound. One lousy pound. Even though 1 pound a week is my goal I am annoyed. Fucking celery. How can you resent a vegetable? I am not sure but I resent celery tonight.

Get yourself to the fridge and grab a pound of butter. That's how much you lost! Don't get discouraged, a pound down is better than a pound up!
ReplyDeleteFleas are my worst nightmare. If Kamir gets them, well, it won't be pretty. He hates people as it is, I'd hate to see what he'd do to me if I bathed him.
I am so with you on both counts. At the moment I look a little like the Goodyear Blimp. Sigh.
ReplyDeleteAnd Jazz inflicts pain and causes bleeding everyday without having fleas. If he ever needs a bath I plan on getting someone (anyone) else to do it.
My poor Barney is allergic to fleas and h's scratched himself raw ery time he's had them. Sadly he's also allergic to many of the flea prevention treatments I can use.
ReplyDeleteWe've been lucky this summer because the cold wet weather has kept them under control. I must treat him this weekend though, to prevent him from catching any.
Congrats on losing that pound!!
ReplyDeletethose silly pounds didn't get on over night they aren't coming off all in one night either...
~~Blessings~~
Our dog went through a period of resistant fleas. We finally gave him some kind of oral medicine, and that took care of the problem. As for celery -- big yawn. I feel your pain.
ReplyDeleteFlea- hate em. Poor Norbert. But he is lucky he has you to take care of him.
ReplyDeleteCongrats on the pound. They add up! As for celery, splurge with a little cottage cheese and pretend it's a dip.
We are living parallel lives.
ReplyDeleteWould flea collars help? Unleash your wrath on fleas, not celery!
ReplyDeleteI dread the thought of our cats having fleas. The one is so nasty when she's being treated well. The other - well - she'd probably be sweet about it - water doesn't bother her so very much.
ReplyDeleteTry not to consider one pound in the right direction to be a disappointment at all. Be relieved!
Hey Birdie...
ReplyDeleteFirst of all...thanks for your sweet words for my new granddaughter....she is adorable isn't she?? Is there such a thing as an ugly baby??? I think yes!!!!
Sorry about the cats...must be all this hot weather...get some flea collars as a back up...
Great about the 1 lb....better than gaining 1 lb...
I eat a million pretzel sticks as a snack...very few calories...did you ever go to that "Lose It" site that I told you about??
If that is your bike...we are in big trouble!!! Start walking...baby steps...tee hee hee
Enjoy your day...I'm getting my nails done, and heading over to squeeze Vivian!!!
Cheers!
Linda :o)
Poor Norbert. I hope he is flea free today and forever.
ReplyDeleteAw come on, it's taken me six months to lose 9 lbs, don't feel so bad. The important thing is that you lost a pound. The only thing I lost this week was my mind.
ReplyDeleteI've been needing to give Squeaky Mimi a bath, (she's so fat she can't clean her backside), and have been putting it off. I will use the Ungrateful Bastard as a positive role model for her.
I have always felt radishs were out to get me;)
ReplyDeleteFleas! There's no reasoning with them! Ugh. Good luck with the kitties!
ReplyDeletePoor cats and horrid fleas. That is so amazing how he is sitting in the sink so agreeably. xx
ReplyDeleteNew to your blog - well done on your 1lb - better off than on!
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, celery is a complete waste of space and energy - I mean, why even grow the stuff, it's foul!
