Stuff

I am not sure what is going on with my hair in this picture but here I am in my not tub.  Let's just say that you can be glad there are bubbles or it would be like the Crying Game.  As you can see it is a small hot tub because somewhere along the line I having become greedy and don't want to share.  In all honesty though, I did not even have a bedroom to myself when I was a single mom.  I have not had a space to call my own since I was 19.  So this is my little oasis.  And I do share.  But when I am in it my kids are not allowed.  (Knowing me and my mother guilt this will last about a week.)

Here is what I did today.  I planted 6 pots of assorted lettuce and a mixed pot of oregano and cilantro and a pot of chives.  I have to keep them on the deck or the deer will eat them.  It will be hard enough making sure my 16-year old son doesn't eat it all when we sleep.

I don't know why but my computer has been running very slow the last 2 days so I am going to end this post now.

  1. Must be something in the air as I went and bought some herbs and four tomato plants. I haven't put mine in pots just yet but I will...it's suppose to rain for the next two days so I'll do it on the weekend.

The private hot tub...nice...what a great way to unwind.

  7. Good to see you in your hot tub - loved the image of your kids piling in next week when you relent. However maybe you will stick to the me time again once the novelty of sharing with Mum has worn off! ;) Lovely pots too. Great to hear about your stuff.

  8. Ah, that looks soooo relaxing. I think I am going to go take a warm bubble bath now.

My hubby has a small veggie garden each year. He hasn't started it yet but come late summer I'm sure we'll have lots of yummy Jersey tomatoes.
