It's Like Sweden!
Eeee! I am so excited! My hot tub came today. I just have to have the deck reinforced and the electrical hooked up then it will be good to go. You might never hear from me again as I just may relax into nothingness. I may just reach Nirvana.
Until then I have to live a normal life. Today I pulled 4 buckets of dandelions, bleached down my sun deck and rearranged my bedroom. I didn't intend to rearrange my bedroom but I knocked over a lamp and the bulb shattered. I figured since I had to pull out everything to clean up the glass I might as well move all the furniture around. So I did.
My evil inside Canadian is coming out. It is the damn playoffs. I really hate hockey. (Elizabeth, there is one for you. I hate hockey.) I am glad nobody I know personally reads this blog as hating hockey is equal with treason in Canada. Actually, that reminds me, I need to write a blog post on all the black marks of Canadian history. Did you know Canada put Japanese Canadians in internment camps in World War 2? Did you know Canada allowed orphans to be taken from other countries to basically be sold into slavery? Did you know Canada executed their own soldiers for desertion? We did. We did many awful things. I will post on them one day.
OK. Modern Family is on. Bye!

When I got our tub in Nov I thought I would never get out so ENJOY it is a little piece of heaven.
ReplyDeleteWell, I'm a bit nervous that my "hate" post is what I'll be remembered by!
ReplyDeleteI'd love a hot tub -- so would Sophie -- are they expensive?
I am an Austalian who doesn't like sports. Which is treason.
ReplyDeleteI am in awe at your four buckets of dandelions. I really, really need to get back into the garden.
Have a heap of fun in the hot tub.
Congrats on that hot tub!! Sending you a virtual bottle of sparkling wine and chocolate covered strawberries to break it in. Okay a good did you know: Did you know that it was Canada who was the first people (besides the Cajun Navy) who showed up for rescue efforts after Katrina? Y'all have no idea how that boosted the morale of the first responders here. Hubby wears a Canadian flag pin on his uniform on Aug. 29th every year.
ReplyDeleteOh honey. Every country has its sins which it has committed.
ReplyDeleteDoesn't make any of them right.
Enjoy your hot tub. I hope you get it up and running very soon and that it's just like Sweden.
Yea! Enjoy the hot tub! I own a whirlpool and I love it, so I can relate on how you will love it, I do ours! Enjoy...
ReplyDeleteJealous. I have to go to the gym to use the hot tub and then they limit me to 15 minutes. Can you see me turning green with envy?
ReplyDeleteA Hot tub is so nice to have...I do not like hockey either
ReplyDeleteGreat news that you have your hot tub and are getting loads of stuff done. Lots to do around here if you fancy flying over to help(then I could fly back with you to help you enjoy your hot tub).
ReplyDeleteI get somewhat ashamed to be British sometimes. I remember when we visited the Civil rights Museum in Memphis I felt ashamed to be white.
At the mere mention of Sweden all I can think of is ABBA and the chef from the Muppets with his Swedish meatballs. So from now on I will always see you sitting in your hot tub, singing Mama Mia and eating meatballs. Enjoy. :-) x
ReplyDeleteYou got the hot tub?! WOOT!
ReplyDeleteHot tub - yeah! When you are sitting in it on a cool, or even cold, evening with the steam rising and the stars out and shining down on you, think of me miles away wishing I had one, but still looking up at the stars and thinking of you and glad you are here sharing your stories.
ReplyDeleteI'll trade you american football for hockey any day. (But i play hockey. i love hockey. i'm biased.)
