Eddie -  I hope your heaven is filled with a never-ending supply of balls to chase and oceans to swim.

Eddie (my dad's dog) had to be put down today.  He was the sweetest dog that I have ever known.  He would chase balls for hours on end, tiring our entire family out.  He couldn't be kept out of any body of water and loved to dive and swim.  A loving  and faithful dog. A good friend. You will be missed.  Thanks for being such a great dog.

A Great Dog is such an unambiguously generous addition to everyone's life. Thank you Eddie for enhancing our World.

Although I long for the day when my dogs die, I know that some dogs are good ones and are members of the family and that their deaths are worth grieving.
I'm sorry.

Man that stinks. I find it to be so sad when a pet dies and then I think that this dog probably led the life of Riley. He was loved, taken care of, fed, sheltered, and because there are so many animals out there who have lived their entire lives miserable and abused I think we should be celebrating the fact that this very beloved dog led a happy life and died in comfort and in dignity. My condolences to you and your family.

When I lose one of my fur babies, I make a donation either in money, or toys, or towels, or whatever to the local animal shelter in my fur baby's name. I find it to be comforting to leave a small legacy in the name of my fur baby after a loss.

Eddie, would you please check in on my Chloe and Sally, whom I lost a few months back? They sound a lot like you, and I think you all must be in the same place. Thanks for being such a good dog for your family.

I'm so sorry for everything you're going through after losing your mom and your fiance being a dick, and now Eddie. It's so hard losing a pet. I wish I could give you a big hug.

I have found a connection with pets and the passing of them in line with the passing of a beloved owner. With your mom having passed away it is as though Eddie need go to to be with her. That is my own personal theory...

Hoping Eddie is chasing after balls and swimming in a perfect lake with your mom being the one tossing those balls. Hope you dad is taking this all as well as he can.

Aw, sorry for the loss of Eddie. Our furry friends really do become treasured members of the family. It's nice you had all those times with him.

Awww....man, sorry to hear about that. A friend of mine just had to put down their lab a few days ago. Makes me a bit sad to think about the day sometime in the future when I will have to say goodbye to my lil' girl

I'm imagining Eddie is with your Mom, dashing over the green fields of the heavenly land, and all is well... I know you will miss him; I've lost too many and missed them all over the years.
