Another day has just about passed. I slept until noon but kept busy puttering and helping my kids with homework. I cleaned the hummingbird feeder, took off the down duvet off our bed because it is getting too warm. The flannel blankets are still on and well as two cotton quilts and a throw. I don't even know what I did all day but it is now 5:30 and it feel like I have been going all day. But I haven't because I sat in the sun as well. It was a beautiful day.
There is so little to say after not really going anywhere and doing anything for a week. Tonight I get to have a bath! Yippee! I am going to fill it with Epson salts and just relax.
Normally I do not watch a whole lot of TV but I have watched a fair amount this last week. What is it with all the crap that is on TV? All the reality shows are unbelievable! Why do we give these people so much attention? There was just a preview for a show about people's strange addiction. Fuck! The grown fucking man that wants to be a baby? And who is paying so that useless piece if shit can stay home and act that way? There are so many people out there that need disability benefits and are not getting them or need them increased. And if you want to eat dryer sheets you are fucked individual. Let's start programming on people that are not a drain on society and get up everyday to create positive in the world. Maybe I could start watching TV if there was something on besides a woman that drinks her own freaking urine.
Clearly I have way too much time on my hands right now.
O, I hear you -- that's why I hardly ever watch TV; I just end up feeling irritated. It's good to have time to rest and relax though, especially when you're recovering from something!
ReplyDeleteSame here...we have a few favorites...'Mostly on PBS...BBC and the Food channel...
ReplyDeleteBut...I must confess...we do watch Survivor....
Hope you enjoyed your bath...
Perhaps with all this time on your hands, you could purchase a few new houseplants...and nurture them...and love them...hahaha...inside joke!!!
Cheers!
Linda :o)
Wait until you see the promos for the woman with the strange addiction for drinking blood. Reality TV has really gone too far. It's rather disturbing.
ReplyDeleteThis is exactly why I don't watch TV!
ReplyDeleteTV is just plain off often. Either it is seriously unfunny, or seriously weird. Luckily it is a habit I never acquired. Sadly my partner did.
ReplyDeleteI know what you mean! And that's why we don't really watch any TV. We tape a couple of shows or watch a movie, and that's about it. No other television watching.
ReplyDeleteThe thing with daytime TV is, you start off laughing and end up crying at how awful the world is becoming.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your bath.
It's called Trash TV and most of it's on the Learning Channel. What has the world come to?
ReplyDeleteI agree with your assessment on the current state of tv. All those channels and they all suck. I order specialty channels so I can watch maybe 2 shows and they even they kinda suck.
ReplyDeleteWhy do people want to air their dirty laundry to the world?
This is why I get so bored...TV is crazy...hope you get better soon
ReplyDeleteEwww "reality" TV is so gross. I've got very few TV must haves, Walking Dead and Modern Family, other than that, meh.
ReplyDeleteTwo years ago my husband got cable to be able to watch hockey (yes, I know how much you dislike the sport... LOL)... anyway... we had it for a whole year and I found myself hooked on these stupid reality shows or the who is the biggest loser to the extent that Aaron said that I had the worst taste in TV... I stopped reading books like I used to... it was crazy... I did not feel so good about myself either...a slob... couch potato... so I demanded that we stop it as the kids were getting hooked on cartoons as well... so we have not had TV/cable for three years now... thankfully... we watch movies together... and I pick up books and ask the kids to do the same... much better...
ReplyDeleteI have seen that show! When I saw my specialist recently and told him about the couple who did coffee enemas he just about freaked out and said I should never do that. Uh, wasn't gonna. Definitely NOT! I do, however, personally know someone who does. To each his own, I suppose. I do think that people on that show have some real issues and I'm not sure exploiting them on t.v. is the best way for them to get help. But then again, I watch the show 'Hoarders' and they get help with clean up and therapy. That show, wow, makes me want to clean my house!
ReplyDeleteI've been gone for too long and I missed you Birdie!! Glad to know that things are going ok after surgery.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes, those shows....sigh. This is why I never ever turn on my television.
