Gardening Time!

The last two days have been glorious!  The sun is shining, the sky is blue and the earth is warming up.  I have been digging up invasive bluebells by the bucket load.

And the worms!  The are so wiggly and wonderful!

And do you like my boots?  They have holes in them but they are my gardenin' boots.  And then there is the sweater.  My gardenin' sweater.

Another cat  photo bomb.  Swe all the bluebells to the left? They whole garden was full but they are all gone now!  Yay me!

Today we had a professional in to give my tree (Brianna) some love.  She was startled by the chainsaw but is happy with her new look. Actually Brianna is her own tree but I call her mine.

Also today.... I got my daughter's new contact lenses, cleaned the bathroom, did two three loads of laundry, picked up my laptop at the repair shop, went to Costco, got my eyebrows waxed, got my bangs trimmed, mailed a package, got my daughter some tiger balm and had a visit with my dad.  (Note - it was not my dad that died but my papa, my grandfather.)  I am off to make dinner!

  2. Jeezus, you got nice weather like that already in Ontario? We got 30 friggin' cms of snow this weekend plus a cold wind up the wazoo!

Oh, the Prime Minister is going to hear about THIS injustice, yes he is.

  3. Or maybe you live in BC? Surely to gawd it can't be that nice already in Ontario. MUST be BC.

    Now I'm just obsessing.

  5. WHAT a busy (and productive) day. And I am so pleased that the tree has received some loving care - from someone who wasn't the vandal who first gave you the quote.

  6. How did your weather miss us here in Kingston? It is winter outside my window this morning. We got a big dump of snow. No fair...no fair! (stamps feet)

  7. Looks like someone has been very busy! I'm looking forward to nicer weather here in the UK, but it looks like more snow is due at the weekend. Lucky you! Keep digging!

  8. Invasive bluebells.... I wish!

Good work on the garden though. I could do with a couple of days in mine to straighten things out a bit.

  10. I should take a yard stick outside today and measure the depth of the snow that's still on the ground. (And still falling!) It might depress me too much though.

I'll just be happy for your spring frolic instead! :)

  12. Can't wait to start gardening! I thought we were just around the corner from planting time but alas, more snow has veiled our neck of the woods. Your space looks lovely!

  13. There's spring in your voice, in your clothing, in the weather, and in the worm in your hand. I would be squirming like that worm.

  16. I love your gardenin' boots and sweater; you are Southern at heart ;-)

And I envy your garden! I can't wait to start my own but am waiting til after Easter Sunday to start. There's a superstition down here that we'll have one more freeze before Spring truly begins so we always wait til after Easter to start planting full force. And you have motivated me to perhaps clean up my stone pond this year. I WILL have a water garden, by god!

My hubby will be wanting to find time for his garden soon. It's a bit cold still and we had the last little hoorah of snow today, but soon Spring will really be here!
