It is 2:30 a.m. and I am at work with a two bar Internet connection . Will see if it lasts while I put together a very short post.
Yes, work. Have I mentioned I love my job? I get to meet the coolest people. I could write a book on the stories I have been told.
Well, I wrote the above last night and lost connection so I just gave up. Now I am home and just woke up and getting ready to go to work and I see all sorts of new posts from all of you but I don't have time to read them. Maybe I will get online tonight.
Remember way back in December when I started a huge cross stitch? I think I will be able to finish it tonight. I just have to finish off one heart and do the bottom curvy part and a leaf. After that I have to quilt it and put a binding on it. I have never quilted anything before and have no idea how to do it. It can't be too hard and I think I can figure it out. What's the worst that can happen?

A book is an idea. I am yearning to write my book lately but I really have no energy or time with the course I am doing. That cross stitching project looks good and it feels great to finish something. What will you do next? I really need to start knitting a baby jumper for my step daughters baby due next month. How is your daughter? Xx
ReplyDeleteThe cross stitch looks lovely. Why are you going to quilt it? It would work great as a cushion front, or even framed. It looks like a medieval sampler.
ReplyDeleteThat is beautiful!
ReplyDeleteSo beautiful! And I look at that embroidery as a testament to your strength and persistence and healing.
ReplyDeleteI've done lots of cross-stitching in my time but have never run across anything that needed to be quilted to be considered finished. Something new in the cross-stitching world?
ReplyDeleteThat's beautiful! I have some embroidery pieces sitting around but they aren't finished.
ReplyDeleteYour cross stitch is gorgeous. Are you sure that quilting will add to it? A cushion front or framing I can see, but the quilting makes me wonder whether your work would be highlighted or diminished. And yes, as Ms Moon said, it is a testament to your determination - and the beauty in your heart.
ReplyDeleteWow, that is beautiful! I don't know how to cross- stitch, and I always admire people that do.
ReplyDeleteThat is beautiful, Birdie!
ReplyDeleteBut...as the others are asking.....why quilt it!?
I think framing would be way better...
Let us know what you do....
Enjoy your week...
Cheers!
