Tomorrow my fiance and I get the keys to our new house! Eeeeeee! So excited. Millions of pictures to come!
Have you ever scrolled through blogs and come across one and have no idea what the blogger is posting about? Some days I feel so dense. I often listen to conversations and have no idea what people are talking about. I still don't what the hell an iphone is. Or an ipad. It took me over an hour to find out how to take call display off my cell phone. I did some online banking today and for some reason I destroyed my password and had to call the bank to get it reset. My girlfriend (hi Lori!) and I have trouble even answering our cell phones. It confuses us and causes intense panic. I see people answer their phones and they whip their index finger across the screen. I have no idea what they are doing. Not a clue. I don't know what a Blu-ray is but I know someone who has a dog named Blu! For some reason I don't think there is any relation. I never get around to deleting people off my call display on my land line phone. I don't know how. I think it gets up to 99 and just starts over again. Or maybe the phone self-destructs. Or maybe a direct message goes to my phone company and they take it away. (Like a child who is too young for a toy only I am too old.) I am 40 for the love of all that is good and true, what is life going to be like when I am 80? Will my children and grandchildren be able to stop my heart remotely and laugh then restart again?
OK, here is a song for my man because he reads this blog and has yet to leave a comment. I love you so much my insides hurt and my brain goes foggy and my breath catches in my throat. Everything is easier 'cause of you. Our cats will learn to

I'll light the fire
You put the flowers in the vase
That you bought today
Staring at the fire
For hours and hours
While I listen to you
Play your love songs
All night long for me
Only for me
Come to me now
And rest your head for just five minutes
Everything is good
Such a cosy room
The windows are illuminated
By the sunshine through them
Fiery gems for you
Only for you
Our house is a very, very fine house
With two cats in the yard
Life used to be so hard
Now everything is easy
'Cause of you
And our la,la,la, la,la, la, la, la, la, la, la.....
Our house is a very, very fine house
With two cats in the yard
Life used to be so hard
Now everything is easy
'Cause of you
And Our
I'll light the fire
And you place the flowers in the jar
That you bought today

EEEEEEKKKKKKKK. Sorry did I scream too loud?
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely song to choose for your man. So pleased and excited for you in equal measures. A new start is a fantastic thing especially when you suddenly find "the one" just when you didn't think you ever would.

ReplyDeleteI could not stop laughing at the first section of your entry... and then after that your love shown through you words to you man and warmed my heart... You are one amazing woman...
ReplyDeleteHa! I wrote a long time ago about how I should just get a Jitterbug- the phone for old people. Giant numbers. It makes calls, it answers them.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy this day with your love and your very fine house and don't answer the damn phone.
Congratulations on the house! I think technology confuses everyone, just on different levels. Very sweet song. :)
ReplyDeleteoh By the way Barbara... you are not alone with this technology malarkey... The moment I understand something with the phones, they change them again... I do not have time to catch up and so I have a very normal looking small cellphone that I can make and receive phone calls and messages... and that is about it... Do not worry about itt!
ReplyDeleteCongratulations!!
ReplyDeleteWe all forgetting things because there is too much to remember!
Passwords, codes, clicks, directions, news, family and friends events, grocery list, facebook friends, emails, gas prices, people names, addresses, spell check, etc, etc....
Oh lovely - i am so thrilled for you - how very exciting. Have a very special time getting all settled in and set up together - what precious times.
ReplyDeleteThe song is beautiful and i think i might pinch it to send my hub some time in the future when we finish sorting out all the bits for bump2 - it is very right and fitting for your future together xxxx
I feel the same with the first part, foggy, do not know the technology....Funny though. Happy New House:)

Love your blog.))

I now spend a survey of bloggers with such questions.
1. Why did you create a blog?
2. For whom you taking him? Want to be popular?
3. How long will it keep going?

Don't feel bad, my fellow techy lost....I haven't watched anything on my tv since the new game system was installed, because now you have to do something different with the 37 different remote controls in order to play a movie on dvd. It took me over a year to learn the right process last time. This time I just don't have the energy!!
ReplyDeleteHow exciting to be getting the keys. Love the song, it made me smile and feel all warm and gooey! Yes, though I like to think I am up to date with technology, I hear my son talking and think, what?? I have to ask how to use the dvd player and reset the TV if it goes wrong. Need to hone my skills I think!
ReplyDeleteHow loverly to have a new start with someone so special and I am intending it is all you both need and want for a long future together.... so be it and SO IT IS!!!
ReplyDeleteoh you made me smile - :) thank you I needed that xxx
ReplyDeleteI remember trying to explain a fax machine to my Poppa he got lost at "the message on the paper goes down the phone line" bit LOL
