A post. Ah, a post. I miss blogging! I do! But the weather has been unbelievably gorgeous for this time of the year and I am so busy all of the time and it seems I rarely have more than a few minutes to do something just for me. The last few weeks I have not even had much time to read.

Yesterday I received some bad news. My position at work might be eliminated. I am choosing to stay in the moment and not stress but if you could send a message to the Universe, God (or whoever/whatever is running this place) that the right thing will happen that and I will be given the strength and grace to get through it. I am making it sound like I will not be devastated if I lose my position but I can tell you that I will. What I am trying to do is be mindful and "accept the things I cannot change." As you can see, Cognitive Behavioural Therapy is working.

Now that I have said I rarely get a few minutes to myself I realize that is a lie because I watched the entire second season of Orange is the New Black. The end of the last season was amazing but you have to watch the entire season all the way through in order for you to actually CHEER. I won't spoil it for those that have not seen it but I loved it so much I watched the last few minutes twice.

OK, time for breakfast.

  1. I have just started praying that the right thing happens for you. I am hoping also that they give you options to take an other position. Take care of yourself.
It is easier said than done, but please don't let things get you.

  3. How lovely to see a new post from you. Even better, to read that the weather has been glorious and you have been busy. Better yet to learn that CBT is helping. And many, many good wishes on the job front. Hugs.

  4. Job elimination or downsizing is not easy and there is not way to prepare for it to happen, but as trivial as this sounds, people do survive it and many, many come out way ahead of where they were. I am casting my best wishes and thoughts for you into the universe.

Glad to hear we should stay with the new Orange. It is okay but so far (only on episode 4) I am a little disappointed. I will hang in there because I loved season one so much.

  6. Sorry to hear about the potential job loss. The "maybe" factor is more stressful than if they just gave you a definitive date so you could go looking.
I'm on episode 4 of OITNB and have been loving the season so far. Glad to hear that it's worth seeing through.
Also glad to hear that Cognitive Behavioral Therapy is working. Preach the good word.

CBT is the best! Gives you the tools you need to get through the situations that would previously give you the anxiety. It works.
OITNB...I can't wait to get home to binge watch!! I haven't had the tv on since we left and I've barely had Internet in some places.
The job thing? It will be what it will be and you will be what you will be, have faith.
